About The Republic of Cospeia – the Backstory
The Republic of Cospeia was a small state within modern-day Italy that was an independent nation from 1440 – 1826. It unexpectedly gained independence in 1440 after Pope Eugene IV, embroiled in a struggle with the Council of Basel, made a sale of territory to the Republic of Florence.
By error, a small strip of land went unmentioned in the sale treaty and its inhabitants declared themselves independent. The nation was known as an anarchist state, as there were no taxes, and it grew rich from its tobacco production.

In this fantasy universe, The Republic of Cospeia has risen from its ashes, and become a developed modern country. It’s now up to you to build this nation in Football Manager and to bring glory to this great nations club teams as well as their national team.
Cospeia in Football Manager – Features & Changes
The Republic of Cospeia is now a playable nation in Football Manager, with 3 league tiers, (Cospaia Serie A, Serie B and Serie C.) Domestic cup competitions and awards, with rivalries and derbies. 64 new teams have been created, from a total of 25 new cities, which are divided into 10 local regions. 63 new stadiums have been added, and the nation also has its own language, flag, weather systems, domestic media sources, journalists and agents.
With more than 1000 created staff members, more than 8000 created players, with player, club and league history, and last but not least uniquely designed club badges and kits for all the 64 Cospeian league teams.
All player names have been randomized, and all the player attributes have been switched around so it’s basically 8000 new players.
Besides of adding a brand new nation for this database I’ve also cleared the entire Football Manager database to rebuild all league tiers within the playable leagues as well as repopulated all nations with new players!
I see this project as my masterpiece so far in content creating, as I’ve mastered all elements in the editor to get this DB done.

The world outside of Cospeia has also changed a great deal. Random teams have been switched around from top to bottom divisions, two teams from the Scottish Premier League have joined the English Premier League, and three teams from the Portuguese Primera have joined the Spanish Primera Division.

The DB works with the latest FM 21 update (21.4.0)
It’s recommended to remove any active face packs. Suggested face packs to use (The Chilled Moose face pack, or Zealands New-gen faces).
- Tick the “Add players to playable teams” box
- Here’s the recommended maximum setup to load as many of the created players as possible

My Documents / Sports Interactive / Football Manager 2021 / Games - Quit and Re-start Football Manager if you’re playing it
- Start a NEW Save !!IMPORTANT!!
- Select the default Football Manager 2021 2.4 database
- Tick
'The Cospeia Database'– Make sure no other editor data files are ticked! - Click Confirm and Choose Advanced Setup
- Choose the playable leagues of interest
- Then press Approximate Player Count and choose ‘Advanced’
- Select the nations you want to load players from beside the active leagues
- tick the boxes saying Players Based in Nation – Even if your computer says that the number of players exceeds the recommended level it will only load the approximately 10.000 players which is created in the DB.
- Finally, press
Start Gameand enjoy the new world! - Enjoy this fantasy database!
